Refunds, guarantee and cancellation

What our preparation guarantee actually promises, what it cannot promise, and exactly how to get your preparation fee back.

Guarantee

The Rizident Money-Back Guarantee.

If our software fails to prepare your filing as promised, you get your preparation fee back. Specifically, we refund the full Rizident preparation fee if:

  • your prepared form does not reflect the answers and documents you reviewed and confirmed;
  • we prepared your filing on an outdated official USCIS form edition when a current edition was in effect at the time of preparation; or
  • we cannot deliver a completed packet for a filing type we accepted payment for.

What the guarantee does not cover

  • Government decisions. USCIS makes all immigration decisions. A denial, a Request for Evidence, or a delay is not a preparation failure and is not refundable.
  • Information you provided. Answers or documents that were inaccurate or incomplete when you confirmed them.
  • USCIS filing fees. Government fees are paid by you directly to the government. Rizident never receives them and therefore cannot refund them. Refund of a government fee, where possible at all, is handled by USCIS.

Cancellation policy

  • There is no subscription and no recurring charge to cancel.
  • Before payment: you can start a case, answer questions, upload documents and see exactly what your filing requires at no cost. Stop at any time and nothing is charged.
  • After payment, before you authorize final filing preparation: email us and we refund the preparation fee in full.
  • After your final packet has been produced: the work is delivered, so refunds are limited to the guarantee conditions above.

How to request a refund

Email support@rizident.com from the address on your account and tell us which case is affected. We respond within one business day. Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method, typically within 5–10 business days depending on your bank.
